From January to April 2013, UCCA mounted “ON | OFF: China’s Young Artists in Concept and Practice,” a groundbreaking exhibition that offered a comprehensive survey of the varied practices of the generation of artists who were born after the death of Mao and the end of Cultural Revolution, and grew up at the dawn of China’s Reform and Opening-up.
