In conjunction with “Ling Jian: Moon in Glass,” a two-part solo exhibition co-produced with Today Art Museum in 2011, UCCA published an eponymous catalogue. For this solo show, Ling Jian painted larger-than-life portraits of hauntingly beautiful women onto round canvases, then replicated these images in moon-shaped mirrors of various hues. Richly illustrated with plates of artworks and installation views, this catalogue includes a foreword by the director of the Today Art Museum, Zhang Zikang, essays by Jérôme Sans and Zheng Yan, and an artist interview.
