From 9 March to 19 May 2019, in collaboration with Foundation for the Exhibition of Photography (FEP), UCCA Center for Contemporary Art presented “Civilization: The Way We Live Now,” a monumental photography exhibition featuring over 250 artworks by more than 120 photographers from every corner of the globe. On this occasion, UCCA Center for Contemporary Art has produced a Chinese edition of the exhibition catalogue, originally published by Thames & Hudson. It includes an essay by curator William A. Ewing and eight thematic chapters accompanied by artist commentaries that further illuminate the themes of the exhibition.
