In this “Touching Art history Series”, we are going to experience Dinel Spoerri’s works.. How do you retain a the memory of delicious dinner? Artist Daniel Sporerri had the idea of fixing leftover, tableware, handkerchief and empty bottles left over on the table into a piece of artwork. This time, we will create a memorable dinner table artwork by using some colorful paper and disposal tableware.
Art has existed since the birth of mankind, including architecture, sculpture, painting, calligraphy and seal carving etc. It includes many artists, works, theoretical thoughts, art movements and art genres. Through the “UCCA Touching Art History Series,” we will lead children to experience the wonders of the history of art.
Stéphane Maggiacomo graduated from the Sorbonne with a Master’s in art history. He studied history, ancient Egyptology, art history, photography history and contemporary art etc. After his fine art education, he taught himself to make handicrafts and broke new ground when he was inspired by the love and enthusiasm that children have for art. He has five years of experience working in libraries, and has a unique understanding and knowledge of children’s art books.
Hou Wei holds two Master’s Degrees in fine arts, photography and audiovisual production from France; he has worked at different art institutions such as the Cartier Contemporary Art Foundation and the Paris Jeu de Paume Museum where he participated in their public program activities. His photographic work has been exhibited in galleries and photography festivals across China and France. His work focuses mainly on children and cross-cultural issues.
