The “Cultural Creative Week of New Public Welfare” of YouChange Foundation’s 2012 Social Innovation Carnival will first launch in Beijing, the capital of China. With the subject of “Our Happiness”, it aims at exploring and interpreting relations between human beings and nature, human beings and society, human beings and human beings through series of activities, such as exhibitions, lectures and workshops, and advocates the happy-community concept of “Cultural flourishing, resource conservation, friendly environment and social participation”. Activities organized by eight public welfare organizations and art works of several contemporary youth artists will be held and presented side by side, which will show wonderful cross-cooperation, and bring the public “multi-perspectives” engaging experience on “happy life”.
The Cultural Creative Week of New Public Welfare targets at the public as its object and selects “Our Happiness” as its subject. This Cultural Creative Week is featured with integrating the development of capital cultural innovation industry with three segments of nature, community and human beings and factors of public welfare’s contents, artistic elements and community life and takes many measures, including artwork exhibition which fully interprets the meaning of happiness, interaction and sharing between private organizations and audiences, as well as in-situ experience of community service, so as to trigger the public to consider their ideal happiness and take corresponding actions to realize it.
It is the first activity to combine the public welfare with arts, in which some representative projects organized by a number of active new public welfare organizations will be selected and over ten excellent youth contemporary artists will present their artworks. The arts and public welfare will interact and combine perfectly through exhibition, lectures and personal experience so that the love of public welfare can be conveyed through arts, the arts can be purified via public welfare and in return public welfare can be presented and disseminated at its maximum value in the artistic form; furthermore, the public can have a chance to appreciate the charm and real meaning of “New Public Welfare”.
